This article belongs to the Bucket List category. It’s a place I’d love to visit, so I’ve done detailed research on information and visitor experiences in advance.
With its 18 hectares, Siam Park in Tenerife is the largest water park in Europe and one of the largest in the world. It is also one of the most modern water parks in Europe. Between 2014 and 2023, it was voted the best water park in the world by the travel website Tripadvisor. Adrenaline junkies and families with children alike will find something to enjoy here. You can find it in the resort of Adeje in the southern part of Tenerife.
This water park is inspired by East Asian architecture and culture. Its name itself refers to the historical name of Thailand. The water park includes a tropical forest full of palm trees and other exotic plants, cliffs, and rocks. Hidden within it are structures built in the spirit of famous Thai monuments and temples. In this jungle lie pools that don’t have the typical rectangular shape, but are instead intricate lagoons. Wild and lazy rivers weave between them. The network of local water slides is kilometers long.
Siam Park prides itself on its reputation as a green water park. Instead of concrete areas, you’ll find greenery, trees, and lawns. In summer, the tree canopies provide pleasant shade and a refuge from the hot sun. In winter, some visitors complain in reviews that it can be cooler here.
Visitors praise Siam Park not only for its amazing attractions but also for its cleanliness and friendly staff, including the lifeguards who oversee safety.

Giant pool and Siam Beach
The largest pool in Siam Park is surrounded on one side by Siam Beach, a large crescent-shaped beach. The pool is over 140 m long and wide, featuring artificial islands and a wave machine with waves reaching up to 3 meters. The water temperature in this and other pools is 24 degrees Celsius. The water is brought in from the sea and desalinated.
Coco Beach
Another part of the park consists of a smaller pool with a more intimate beach, Coco Beach. It’s a quieter spot for family relaxation and fun. Kids can run wild here while adults relax on the beach with white sand from the Sahara. The pool covers an area of more than 1,000 m² and its water is a pleasant 28 degrees Celsius. There are lifeguards overseeing safety, gentle and calm artificial waves, and a restaurant with tasty food. You can also rent a sunbed or a Balinese-style canopy bed here.
Attractions

Attractions are marked with green, orange, and red colors according to their difficulty level. Note that some slides are only in operation from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM, while others open from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM. If you want to catch them all, you need to plan your visit well.
Tower of Power
This is probably the biggest adrenaline rush in Siam Park. On this exceptionally wild 28-meter-high slide, you can fly almost in a state of free fall at speeds of up to 80 km/h. The ride ends by passing through a glass tunnel surrounded by an aquarium full of sharks and rays.
Tip: Visitor reviews often mention that the shortest wait times are usually in the morning and towards the end of the day. Around lunch, the queues are longer.
Mai Thai River
The Mai Thai River, a lazy river over 1 kilometer long, winds through the entire Siam Park. The tropical river flowing through the whole complex offers both slow and faster sections and is often described as one of the parts with the best views in the park. You can relax here and enjoy the beauty of the park, admiring the jungles and temples.
Tip: According to visitors, once you pass the waterfall, you can ask the lifeguard to take the left lane with the rapids. You’ll pass under one of the aquariums where rays swim.
The Lost City
According to visitors, The Lost City is one of the most popular parts of the park for children, including younger ones. It consists of a pool and a system of 15 slides, numerous nets and bridges, climbing frames and towers, and water play features. Additionally, it is the only pool in the entire Canary Islands designed specifically for the youngest children.

Singha
Singha is the newest attraction at Siam Park. This 240 m long adrenaline slide with plenty of wild turns and 14 changes of direction, where you’ll hurtle on a two-person inflatable ring at speeds of up to 18 m/s, is often compared to a water roller coaster.
The Volcano
The attraction is styled as a journey into the dark heart of a volcano and combines a ride in total darkness with a striking laser show. Visitors on an inflatable ring for up to four people ride through a dark section of the slide, which ends with a steep descent into the illuminated space of the volcano.
Kinnaree

Jungle Snakes
Four “snakes” — the Boa, Cobra, Python, and Viper slides — take you through the wild jungle. Some slides are open and offer views of the surroundings, while others are enclosed.
Sea lion pool
Right at the entrance to the park, you’ll be greeted by playful sea lions. You can watch them swimming and playing in the water.

From nearby Las Americas, Los Cristianos, and Costa Adeje, there is a free shuttle service to Siam Park. Catching a taxi from Siam Park can be difficult on busier days.

Practical tips
When to come
It’s best to arrive first thing in the morning around 10:00 AM. It’s not too hot yet and you’ll avoid the queues at the most popular attractions.
Queues
At some attractions, the wait can be up to an hour during peak times. The biggest queues are usually around lunch. If you don’t want to wait, you can buy a Siam Park Fast Pass or an all-inclusive ticket with lunch and drinks included, which allows you to skip the line. It’s better to get them online in advance, as the Fast Pass may already be sold out on-site on busier days. The Fast Pass Limited is restricted to 1 use per attraction, while the Fast Pass Unlimited means you have priority entry to attractions as many times as you like. Note that the Tower of Power and Mai Thai River are not included in the Fast Pass.
What to bring:
Definitely bring a swimsuit, towel, water shoes (you’ll be walking a lot and the surface gets very hot), and sunscreen. There are changing rooms at the entrance to the water park. Avoid taking phones or valuables on the attractions; they are not allowed. Lockers can be rented for a small fee. According to visitor experiences, it’s not possible to change your locker later, so it’s worth thinking about its location in advance. Reviews often mention the area near the main shopping zone as a practical location.
Orientation
It’s a good idea to pick up a map at the entrance, as navigating the grounds isn’t always easy. The park has signage in multiple languages.
Height and weight restrictions
Many attractions have a minimum height requirement of 1.25 m, and lifeguards strictly enforce it. Smaller children can have fun in The Lost City. The maximum weight for using Jungle Snakes and The Giant is 110 kg for individuals and 180 kg for multiple people on a double float. For other attractions, the maximum individual weight is 130 kg, depending on the number of people using the attraction on the float.
What is included in the admission price?
The use of sunbeds, inflatable rings, life jackets, and umbrellas is included in the admission price. Free changing rooms and showers are available in the park. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the park grounds. Parking at the complex costs 7 euros. You can rent a locker for your belongings or buy a towel on-site.
